Unfair Contract Terms Regime - Free Terms & Conditions Traffic Light Review

The changes to the unfair contract terms (UCT) regime under the Australia Consumer Law and the ASIC Act commenced on 9 November 2023. The changes now make it unlawful to rely on unfair contract terms in standard form ‘take it leave it’ contracts with consumers or small businesses. The changes aim to provide further protections for consumers, emphasising transparency and fairness in contractual arrangements.

As part of our commitment to helping the business community navigate these recent changes, we are delighted to introduce a complementary terms and conditions ‘traffic light review’.

It is critical that your standard form contracts are reviewed to identify and rectify any potential UCTs embedded in your standard form contracts, ensuring compliance and better equipping your business to navigate the complexities of the new normal.

Take advantage of this service offering by completing the following questionnaire and uploading your current terms and conditions or standard form contract.
