Victorian Regional Tourism Investment Fund 2024 – A Win for the Tourism Industry

The Victorian Government launches the Regional Tourism Investment Fund 2024, aiding tourism projects in rural and regional Victoria. Grants up to $5M available. Eligibility open to various entities. Apply by July 19, 2024.

The Fund will promote the development of new tourism infrastructure projects, with a focus on enhancing visitor experience and extending the duration of their stays. With grants ranging from $100,000 to $5 million per project, the Fund aims to drive growth in regional tourism while enriching the quality of visitor engagement.

Eligibility

Applications are now open.. Applicants must be one of the following entities:

1.1. Private sector proponents;
1.2. Local and State Government entities or Government owned entities based in Victoria;
1.3. Incorporated associations;
1.4. Not-for-profit organisations; or 
1.5. Traditional Owners Corporations, organisations and groups, and Aboriginal-owned businesses.

Project Streams

The Fund offers three distinct streams to accommodate projects of varying scales and objectives:

Stream 1 – Tailored for projects ranging from $100,000 to $1 million, this stream supports the development of new infrastructure or enhancements to existing facilities.

Stream 2 – Suited towards projects between $1,000,001 and $5 million, this stream facilitates the creation of new infrastructure.

Stream 3 – Catering to projects between $500,000 and $2 million, this stream focuses on revitalising existing accommodation.

Applications

Applications for all streams will close at 2 pm on Friday, July 19, 2024. Interested parties can submit their applications through the official website of the Victorian Government at https://business.vic.gov.au/grants-and-programs/regional-tourism-investment-fund-2024#eligibility
