Law Clerk / Legal Assistant

About the Job

Join our dynamic and collaborative team at Harwood Andrews, dedicated to providing exceptional legal services in the field of Planning and Environment law. We are currently seeking a motivated individual to fill a Law Clerk Administration position (4-5 days per week) in our Melbourne CBD office.

The Role

As the successful candidate, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing administrative tasks for the Planning and Environment team.

  • Assisting in drafting correspondence, reports, and legal documents.

  • Assisting in preparing land use and development agreements under section 173 of the Planning and Environment Act.

  • Conducting research in relation to planning and/or environment law matters.

  • Coordinating and attending meetings with clients and relevant authorities.

  • Supporting team members to prepare legal documents and presentations.

  • Participating in Firm continual professional development (CPD) and team events.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience using PEXA is desirable but not necessary.

  • Be available for a minimum four days a week at our Melbourne CBD office.

  • Have exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Have excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

  • Be able to work well both independently and as part of a team.

  • Hold a lawful right to work in Australia.

  • Possess a proactive approach to learning and professional development.
