New Victorian Wine Strategy – Do you have an interest in wine?

The Victorian Government and the Victorian wine industry have announced a collaboration to co-design a new strategy as part of a 2023-2024 State Budget commitment.

The new Victorian Wine Strategy will be developed over two years.

Vineyard owners, Winemakers, Wine merchants and anyone in between will have the opportunity to collaborate with the government to set a new direction for the wine industry.

Agriculture Victoria has published an engagement paper, setting out an overview of the wine industry, current operational and commercial issues, economic, social and environmental context and case studies within Australia and around the world.

Interested individuals are encouraged to participate and share their view on the wine industry in Victoria. Engage Victora will be accepting submissions on the engagement paper from 1 July 2024 to 1 September 2024.

You can provide your submissions in a variety of ways, including:

  1. Send Victoria Engage a submission through the Engage Victoria website.

  2. Attend one of the 5 in-person industry forums in Central Victoria, North-East Victoria, Western Victoria, Melbourne CBD, and around Melbourne.

  3. Attend one of the 3 online forums – one for people in Murray Valley/Swan Hill, and 2 for all stakeholders across Victoria.
