People and Capability Advisor

We’re seeking a full-time permanent P&C Administrator to join our firm in Geelong CBD. This is an exciting opportunity for a junior HR professional looking to further develop their skills in a supportive and collaborative environment. Reporting to the General Manager – People & Capability, you will support HR activities across the full employee lifecycle and contribute to a positive workplace culture.

About the Role

As the P&C Administrator, no two days are the same. You will work closely with the P&C team to assist with HR functions across the firm. Your key responsibilities will include;

  • Assisting with end-to-end recruitment and onboarding activities, including drafting contracts and coordinating interviews

  • Preparing HR documentation

  • Updating employee information within HR systems, including changes to titles, positions, and personal details

  • Supporting the coordination of learning and development initiatives and internal training sessions

  • Sending calendar invitations and coordinating firm, L&D, and P&C events

  • Assisting with employee lifecycle processes such as probation reviews, promotions, and offboarding.

  • Responding to general employee queries and providing administrative support to leaders and staff

  • Supporting wellbeing, engagement, and culture initiatives across the firm

  • Assisting with HR projects such as policy updates and as required

  • Maintaining confidentiality and ensuring accurate HR administration and compliance

  • Supporting day-to-day staff resourcing requirements, including coordinating reception coverage, assisting with operational workforce needs across the firm, and supporting facilities coordination

  • Supporting the delivery of the Seasonal Clerkship and Graduate programs, including recruitment coordination, candidate management, onboarding, and organising practice group rotations

  • Supporting the management of compliance requirements for legal staff, such as practising certificate renewals and CPD record maintenance

About You

You are a proactive and approachable HR professional who enjoys building strong working relationships and delivering practical people solutions.

You will bring:

  • Qualifications in Human Resources (Bachelor of Business, Human Resources, Psychology or related degree with HR exposure)

  • 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills

  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to continuous improvement

  • The ability to manage competing priorities with professionalism and care

Experience within the legal or professional services sector will be highly regarded but is not essential.
