Tristan is an Associate in the Wills & Estates Team at Harwood Andrews.

Since being admitted as a lawyer in 2021, Tristan has practiced exclusively in the Wills & Estates space. He is experienced in estate planning, estate administration, estate disputes, superannuation disputes and matters in the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) Administration & Guardianship list.

Tristan has a friendly and personal approach, and desires to make clients’ experiences as smooth and stress-free as possible.  

Outside of work Tristan enjoys spending time with his partner, their golden retriever Ted, snowboarding and spending time with friends and family.

Tristan’s key areas of practice include:

  • Estate planning Wills (including wills with testamentary trusts)

  • Powers of Attorney (Financial and/or Personal), Medical Treatment Decision Maker appointments and Restrictive Practice nominations

  • Advice about superannuation binding death benefit nominations and advising on updating existing self-managed superannuation fund deeds

  • Succession of existing discretionary family trusts

  • Applications for Probate and Letters of Administration

  • Estate administration

  • Estate claims and disputes, including probate caveats, applying for and responding to claims for further provision from estates

  • Estate administration and estate disputes with international involvement

  • Superannuation complaints and disputes

  • Applications in VCAT for guardianship and administration orders

  • Disputes in VCAT regarding powers of attorney and guardianship and administration appointments
