Presense Medical is working to improve quality of life and independence for hospital and aged-care patients by reducing pressure injuries through technology. Presense Medical has designed The Presense Elite Hybrid cushion that combines high-resilience foam with individually controlled air cells that adjust pressure to match the body of the user in real time without any manual intervention.

Clinical Director for Aged Care, Royal Melbourne Hospital, Prof. Kwang Lim, was inspired to create the design by listening to the people who are sitting for hours every day and understanding the discomfort they were feeling on a regular basis.
