July 2023 Promotions

Harwood Andrews is proud to announce the following well-deserved promotions effective 1 July 2023.

Bridgette Kelly has been promoted to Principal

Bridgette was originally with Harwood Andrews for 10 years before gaining external experience in other local firms. We were delighted when Bridgette made the decision to return to the firm in January to help lead the family law team. Bridgette, being a Law Institute of Victoria accredited specialist in Family Law, is a valued asset in the family law team. She brings a wealth of experience from her involvement in the Geelong community through various board and committee positions. Please join us in congratulating Bridgette on this incredible achievement in becoming a Harwood Andrews Principal.

Alasdair Woodford has been elevated to Principal Lawyer

Alasdair has almost reached his 10 year anniversary with the firm. Alasdair enjoys working closely with clients and their advisors to understand the issues that are unique to them. His practical and personal approach ensures clients receive the best possible solutions. Alasdair is a board member of the Geelong Food Relief Centre and is a graduate of the Leaders for Geelong program. We are delighted to have Alasdair as an integral part of our Commercial team. Well done on this achievement Alasdair.

Deb Anderson has been promoted to Principal Lawyer.

Deb joined the firm approximately 18 months ago and immediately provided an additional leadership layer to our wills & estates team. Deb is well known in Geelong’s legal circles and has in excess of twenty years’ experience in all areas of wills and estate planning, testamentary trusts, estate administration and litigation, superannuation in the estate planning context, powers of attorney, and VCAT applications.  Deb also provides advice on adoption matters. A well deserved accolade Deb.

Tayla Berger steps up to Senior Associate

Tayla has had a relatively short but impactful tenure with the firm in the wills & estates team. Tayla commenced her career working in general commercial and property law before relocating to Geelong where she has practised exclusively in wills and estates. She assists clients with their estate planning, from simple wills to more complex succession planning as well as the administration of deceased estates. Tayla works closely with her clients to ensure their objectives are achieved in a timely yet professional manner. This promotion to senior associate is a testament to the hard work and dedication Tayla has invested with the firm and its clients to date. Fantastic achievement Tayla.

Tanner Redden has been promoted to Associate

Tanner has been with us since his graduate year and a key member of our planning & environment team. In a team that is often dependent on deadlines and hearing schedules beyond their control Tanner is an integral part of the team that ensures their goals are met. Tanner has experience in a variety of legal advocacy and advice matters, including those before the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal, Planning Panels Victoria and the Magistrates’ Court. Tanner acts for both private sector and government clients in urban, growth area and regional planning matters. Well done on your promotion to Associate Tanner.

Once again, congratulations on these outstanding achievements.
