Thomas is an intellectual property lawyer who appreciates the needs of small and large businesses when it comes to identifying, registering, commercialising and protecting intellectual property assets.
Having a background in commercial litigation, Thomas understands the importance of advocacy in not only obtaining registration of intellectual property assets, but also initiating and defending infringement actions. He also recognises the benefits of properly identifying, commercialising and managing a business’ intellectual property portfolio.
Working across a broad scope of industries, Thomas employs a worldly and holistic approach to identifying and exploiting his client’s IP in the most commercially effective way.
Recipient of the Alfred Deakin Scholarship for Business and Law in 2015 and the Deakin University Dean’s Merit Award for graduating in the top 3% of his year in 2022, Thomas has a commitment to excellence which he translates to his clients’ practical and commercial needs.
Thomas has undertaken part of his studies in Melbourne University, and spent two years studying Mandarin Chinese at Fudan University (Shanghai, China) and Tongji University (Shanghai, China). Thomas holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of International Studies (majoring in Chinese language) from Deakin University.
