Long Standing Harwood Andrews Principals Set to Retire.

After many years of dedicated service, two of our Harwood Andrews Principals have announced their retirement from legal practice. Richard Anderson and Jim Rutherford will be retiring as of 31 March 2023. Both with careers spanning more than 40 years, their combined contributions to the legal industry in Geelong has been phenomenal. Jim Rutherford says, “It has been a wonderful journey, filled with countless memories and experiences that have shaped me both professionally and personally.”

Jim and Richard would like to take this opportunity to express their sincere gratitude to all their colleagues, clients, and partners who have supported and encouraged them throughout their careers.

Richard Anderson joined the firm in the early 1980’s and was recognised for his contribution to the firm at an internal event this month. He reflected on his 40+ years with the firm, “I am proud of the legacy I leave here at Harwood Andrews; I have made many lifelong friendships and I leave the place in good standing.”

Harwood Andrews CEO Andrew Barnes stated that: “Richard and Jim are very much a part of the essence of Harwood Andrews. Not only has the firm and its’ clients benefited from their professional and dedication, but so too have many community-based organisations. No doubt we will be miss their leadership at Harwood Andrews, but they leave behind established high performing teams to make the transition as smooth as possible. We wish them and their families well as they embark on new chapters and enjoy spending more time travelling and pursuing hobbies and interests.”

Please join us in thanking Richard and Jim for their many years of dedicated service.
