HA Award Finalist Nomination
For the third year in a row Harwood Andrews has been recognised as an innovator and leader in the Australasian legal profession with their nomination as a finalist in the 2018 Australasian Law Awards.
The awards recognise excellence in the legal industry by celebrating leading firms and inhouse teams for their outstanding achievements over the previous 12 months.
This nomination continues Harwood Andrews’ recent professional awards success. The firm has won consecutive Lawyers Weekly Awards (2016 and 2017) for Regional/Suburban Law Firm of the Year. In 2017 the firm won the Australasian Law Award for State/Regional Law Firm on the Year – the same category in which the firm is a finalist for 2018.
An ongoing focus on the future and a commitment to the communities in which we operate is key to such recognition, according to Harwood Andrews CEO Andrew Barnes.
“This recognition means a lot to our firm. In professional services today, standing still is actually going backwards. We celebrated a 175 year anniversary in 2017, which was an important time to pause and reflect, but it was equally important to remind ourselves of the need to evolve and grow with our people, our clients and our communities. For instance, our delivery capability was enhanced when we introduced four new online tools in the last 12 months alone. The firm also set new levels with its’ pro bono commitment and new community and charitable partnerships.”
Harwood Andrews is one of eight firms nominated in its’ category and the only firm from Geelong, Ballarat or Albury.
The winner will be announced on Thursday 17th May at a gala dinner in Sydney in front of more than 800 industry peers and guests from Australia and New Zealand.
