Maddi is a Lawyer at Harwood Andrews in the Employment Law team.
Maddi completed a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce with double majors in Accounting and Human Resources from Deakin University.
During her studies, Maddi worked as a trainee accountant, where she assisted with general bookkeeping and employment underpayment calculations. Prior to joining Harwood Andrews, she was employed as a Workplace Relations Consultant for large-scale employers within the health care industry. During her time as a consultant, she contributed to the development of materials related to bargaining, implementation, review, and planning of enterprise agreements.
Maddi’s key areas of practice include:
Preparing employment contracts and workplace policies and procedures
Business restructuring and redundancies
Disciplinary issues and performance management
Application and interpretation of modern awards, agreements, and industrial relations legislation
OH&S work-related injury disputes
Independent contractors/arrangements
Litigation and disputes, including unfair dismissal and general protections applications
Enterprise agreement development, negotiations and implementation
